just thought ide post myself here if anybody has any problems with their decks, mixer ,effects gadgets, etc learning certain things or understanding the more complex side of mixing,
ive been mixing for at least 12 years ,and have been threw many'many mixers and decks , and offer my advice if anyone should need, including beginners, everyone has to start somewhere, theirs no shame in not knowing ,i hopefully will learn a few things.
tip of the day for those with the cheaper turntables not all mind you some are abismall, but this is worth a try, problems with platter, cut out four slipmat sized peices taken from old shiny record sleeves, then cut out hole etc using record as your guide, make sure you place two on each platter, dull side down first then shiney surface to shiny, and finally slip matts on top. this will stop your turntable platter from dragging as much you should see more ease when spinning your vinyle,. also most turntables will have little holes unerneath or on top, these will adjust your pitch , and if you turn it up slightley with a small srewdriver, it will spead your platter up , then check the results extra advice if your turntable isbelt driven'go to your local dj shop and get various belt rubbers slightley diffrent in size couple quid ' some times buy putting a new belt on this can do the trick.
advice is their if needed
